Ralph Batten
Ralph is Dragonfire's Outdoor Learning Quality Assurance and Inspection Director ensuring that all mandatory requirements are meet and that Dragonfire's Outdoor Learning meets the highest possible standards.
Before this Ralph was SERCO's Assistant Director of Inspections where he had responsibility for the Ofsted Inspection Workforce ensuring new inspectors were trained and accredited as well as overall responsibility for some 1300 Ofsted Inspectors' professional development. Until recently he was also director of Accountability for Best Practice Network and still has responsibility for developing and delivering strategic support programmes for school leaders and governors.
Prior to this Ralph had a very successful career as a headteacher in the London Borough of Lewisham before being appointed Senior Lecturer in Education at Christ Church College Canterbury.
Ralph is a published author of children's books and leads Dragonfire's woodland story telling events.
